 WELLVET – Increasing VET students’ engagement and attainment levels through ensuring their wellbeing at school

The “WellVET” project focuses on the issue of the impact of VET students’ physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing on their learning results as well as on their school and personal successes. The starting point for the project is the assumption that healthy, happy and satisfied students achieve more success at school, they establish correct relationships with their environment, find better jobs and lead more happy and fulfilled lives.

Our team is involved in a project aiming to promote physical health, emotional wellbeing and personal development of VET students through developing a bespoke European training course bringing together mentoring, physical activity and classroom support. challenges students face once introduced to work-based learning (apprenticeships, dual training systems, etc.). The WellVET e-course is an effective training programme for vocational education teachers to help steer young people towards holistic health and wellbeing. The main learning objective of the e-course is to develop VET teachers’ knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to promote the wellbeing of their students.
